On September 20, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Highway Criminal Interdiction Team conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 85 near mile marker 108, in Trinity. During the course of the traffic stop, the driver of the vehicle produced a Mexico driver’s license, which was later determined to be fraudulent. A subsequent search was also conducted and Methamphetamine, Cocaine and drug paraphernalia were located.
As a result, Salvador Alvarez Solorzano of Charlotte, was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for the charges of Felony Identity Theft, Felony Possession of Cocaine, Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He received a $10,000 secured bond with a first appearance set for September 22, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
