On June 15, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary in the Seagrove area where a business had been entered and property was taken. Detectives arrived on scene and were able to locate evidence, which led them to a residence on Borough Ave., Seagrove, NC. Detectives of the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the Seagrove Police Department, approached the residence to further investigate. Detectives spoke with occupants of the residence and a search was conducted. Detectives located evidence of the burglary inside the residence, as well as the stolen property from the business. Detectives of the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division arrested Brandon Michael Jones.
He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony breaking and/or entering, felony larceny after breaking/entering, and felony possession of stolen goods. He was issued a $5,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for June 16, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
