On May 22, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to E. Main St., Franklinville, in regards to an assault. The victim was transported to an area hospital for further evaluation. Upon further investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division, charges were sought against Mike Church, Jr. for felony assault inflicting serious injuries and the magistrate found probable cause to issue.
On June 6, 2023, Church was arrested and served his warrant for arrest. The magistrate issued a $25,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for June 7, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
