On May 11, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on US HWY 64 E. near the intersection of Foxfire Rd., Asheboro. During the course of the traffic stop, illegal narcotics were discovered. The driver was identified as Jesus Trinidad Hawley-Victoria. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was taken before the magistrate, who issued a $3,000 unsecured bond and set a first appearance for May 17, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
