On March 22, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Colonial Country Club, Thomasville, in reference to an unknown subject possibly trespassing on the golf course. Upon arrival, the deputy walked the area on foot, locating a male attempting to hide behind a tree on the golf course. The male, who was identified as Justin Daniel Rose, was found to be in possession of illegal substances during a subsequent search. Due to the number of calls coming in for Patrol, Rose was released. Charges were sought later in the shift and the magistrate found probable cause to issue a criminal summons for felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of a schedule III controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, to be served at a later time.
On March 29, 2023, Rose was located and served the criminal summons and a court date was set for April 17, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
