On March 11, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office located Garland Layzella York, Jr., who had numerous unserved warrants for arrest. York was placed under arrest. During a subsequent search, illegal narcotics and paraphernalia were located. York was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served the outstanding warrants for arrest and received a $70,000.00 secured bond. The magistrate found probable cause for charges of felony possession of heroin, felony possession of cocaine, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued an additional $20,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for March 13, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
