On January 30, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Oakgrove Rd., Asheboro, in reference to a reported larceny of a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, the victim provided details about his vehicle and identified as Prisciliano Hernandez Marquez as the suspect. The victim provided an address in Greensboro for Marquez. Greensboro Police Department was contacted and responded to the area to check for the vehicle, locating it leaving the address given. A traffic stop was conducted. Police Officers provided the same name and sent a copy of the driver’s license confirming the identification of Marquez. Greensboro Police Department placed Marquez under arrest and transported him to the Guilford County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle. The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office sought a warrant for the felony larceny of motor vehicle on Marquez and the magistrate found probable cause to issue. The Randolph County warrant was served by Guilford County. The magistrate issued a $200 total secured bond. His court date on the Randolph County charge was set for March 6, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
