On September 1, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a larceny on Marlbrook Ct., Trinity, that had occurred sometime between 8/22/22 at 6:00 pm and 9/1/22 at 7:24 pm. Witnesses had reported that Adam Gene Phillips had been seen on multiple occasions loading up property at the residence and using the victim’s trailer. The subjects are known by the victim and witnesses.
During the investigation, Phillips was identified as the subject in surveillance at a recycling facility, scrapping the items identified as stolen from the victim.
On September 23, 2022, charges were sought for felony larceny and felony possession of stolen goods against Phillips. The magistrate found probable cause to issue the warrants.
On October 8, 2022, Phillips was located, arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served the outstanding warrant. The magistrate found probable cause for resisting a public officer and issued a $3,450 unsecured bond and a first appearance was set for October 24, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
