On March 15, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Division concluded an investigation related to the distribution of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine in Randolph County. Detectives executed a search warrant at the residence of Donald Robert Lynch located on Spencer Rd. in Archdale. During the search, Detectives located and seized a Trafficking amount of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine, bath salts and steroids. Also located and seized were six firearms along with items of drug paraphernalia.
After the search of the residence in Archdale, the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office assisted in executing a search warrant at a business in Chatham County that was being operated by Donald Lynch in Bennett, NC. During the search of the business, an additional trafficking amount of Fentanyl was located.
During the course of the investigation, a total of approximately 783.9 grams of Fentanyl (1.7 lbs.) and 367 grams of Methamphetamine were seized.
Donald Robert Lynch was charged by Randolph County Sheriff’s Office with Felony Possession of Firearm by Felon, two counts of Felony Trafficking in Heroin, Felony Trafficking in Methamphetamine, two counts of Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Schedule II, Felony Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Schedule VI, Misdemeanor Maintaining a Vehicle/Dwelling/Place for Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor Simple Possession Schedule III and Misdemeanor Possession Drug Paraphernalia. He was transported to Randolph County Detention Center and given a $150,000 secured bond plus Electronic House Arrest. A first appearance was scheduled for March 16, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
Lynch was charged by Chatham County Sheriff’s Office with Felony Trafficking in Heroin, Felony Possession Schedule I, Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Schedule I, Felony Maintaining a Vehicle/Dwelling/Place for Controlled Substance and Misdemeanor Possession Drug Paraphernalia. He received an additional $15,000 secured bond with a court date is scheduled for April 25, 2022, in Chatham County District Court.
