On March 14, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Old Liberty Rd, Franklinville, in regards to an assault that had already occurred. The caller reported that the assailant, Logan Thomas Johnson, had fled the scene in the victims’ vehicle. Following the investigation, charges were sought with the magistrate who found probable cause for charges of Felony Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill, Felony Assault by Strangulation, Misdemeanor False Imprisonment, Misdemeanor Assault on a Female, and Misdemeanor Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle.
At approximately 10:35 pm, Communications advised that Johnson had returned to the residence with the vehicle and was last seen on foot at the back of the residence. Deputies responded to the residence and located Johnson in the basement. He was apprehended and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served with his outstanding warrants and given a $10.000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for March 15, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
