On February 24, 2026, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to US Hwy 64 E., Asheboro, in reference to a possible drug violation at an area business.
Upon arrival, deputies located a vehicle parked behind the business with two subjects inside it. The driver was identified as Justin Matthew Stiltner, and the passenger was identified as Andrew James Shroyer. Paraphernalia was observed in the vehicle. During a subsequent search, methamphetamine and additional paraphernalia were located. Both Stiltner and Shroyer were arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for the charges of felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver methamphetamine, felony maintain vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Stiltner was issued a $5,000 secured bond, but Shroyer’s release was not authorized. A first appearance was set for February 25, 2026, in Randolph County District Court for both.
