On January 8, 2026, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Team Highway Unit, conducted a traffic stop near Unity St. in Thomasville, NC. After further investigation, a subsequent search was conducted and methamphetamine was located.
As a result, William Clark Hedrick was placed into custody and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for the charge of felony possession of methamphetamine. He was issued no bond due to pretrial release and received a first appearance in Randolph County District Court on January 9, 2026.
