On June 16, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Bolivar Ave., High Point, in reference to subjects trespassing. Upon arrival, contact was made with Richard Wayne Gibson and Logan Faire Hill, who had been trespassed from the same address on April 7, 2022, by Deputies. Both subjects had outstanding criminal processes and attempts were made to arrest both subjects. Hill resisted and Gibson attempted to flee on foot, assaulting a deputy in the process. Both subjects were inevitably taken into custody. During a search of Gibson, heroin was located. Gibson was transported to a local hospital, upon request, for medical evaluation.
Hill was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for charges of Misdemeanor Resisting a Public Officer and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was also served her outstanding Order for Arrest for Failure to Appear/Resisting a Public Officer. She received a $3,500 secured bond and a first appearance was set for June 17, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
Following Gibson’s medical evaluation and release, he was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for charges of Felony Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor Assault on a Government Official, Misdemeanor Resisting a Public Officer and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was also served his outstanding Warrant for Arrest out of Guilford County for Injury to Personal Property. He received a total $16,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for June 17, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
