On November 10, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Old County Farm Rd., Sophia, in reference to the theft of a trailer that had already occurred.
Following an investigation by the Criminal Interdiction Team Urban Unit, the trailer was located and recovered in Mocksville, NC, on November 19, 2025. A suspect was developed, and charges were sought against Allen Marcus Hankins for felony larceny and felony possess stolen goods/property. The magistrate found probable cause to issue a warrant for his arrest.
On November 26, 2025, Hankins was located, arrested, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where he was served his warrant for arrest. He was also charged with misdemeanor resisting a public officer. He received a $12,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for December 1, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
