On September 25, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported theft of an ATV from the Burney Rd. area of Asheboro.
On October 3, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported theft of a dirt bike from the Sandy Ridge Dr. area of Liberty.
After an investigation conducted by the Criminal Interdiction Team Urban Unit, charges were sought against Austin Lee Campbell relating to the dirt bike theft on Sandy Ridge Dr, for felony possession of stolen goods/property. The magistrate found probable cause and issued a warrant for arrest. Detectives attempted to serve this warrant, but Campbell was not located; however, they recovered an additional stolen dirt bike that had been reported stolen in Montgomery County. Charges were sought against Campbell related to this incident by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.
During the investigation of these incidents, the dirt bike stolen from Sandy Ridge Dr. was recovered by the Criminal Interdiction Team Urban Unit on October 9th. An additional suspect was developed, and charges were sought against Logan Dale Perry for felony possession of stolen goods/property and felony obtain property by false pretense and obstructing justice. Later in the day, Perry was located, arrested, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where he was served his warrant. The magistrate issued no bond, and a first appearance was set for October 10, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
After further investigation, charges were also sought relating to the theft of the ATV on Burney Rd. against Logan Perry, Michelle Lynn Perry, and Austin Lee Campbell for felony possession of stolen goods and felony conspiracy. An additional warrant was sought for felony larceny against Campbell. The magistrate found probable cause and issued warrants for their arrest.
Logan Perry, while still confined at the Randolph County Detention Center, was served his additional charges on October 14, 2025, and received no bond. A court date has been set for October 17, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
On October 14, 2025, Michelle Perry was located, arrested, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, served her warrant, and received a $5,000 unsecured bond. A court date has been set for October 27, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
On October 23, 2025, members of the Criminal Interdiction Team Urban Unit, Alamance County Sheriff's Office Street Crimes Unit, and the SBI, located and arrested Campbell in Burlington. He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where he was served his outstanding processes from Randolph, Alamance, and Montgomery Counties. He was given no bond due to the Pre-Trial Integrity Act. A first appearance was set for October 24, 2025, in Randolph County District Court. Additional charges may be forthcoming related to these incidents.
