On October 29, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to US Hwy 311, Archdale, in reference to the theft of a moped.
During the investigation, the Criminal Interdiction Team Urban Unit located the moped on Elmont St., Trinity, on October 30th. Travis Michael Wood was developed as a suspect and charges were sought for felony larceny and felony possession of stolen goods, and the magistrate found probable cause to issue a warrant for arrest.
On November 6, 2025, Wood was located, arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served his outstanding warrant for arrest. He was given no bond due to the pretrial integrity act, and a first appearance was set for November 7, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
