On October 2, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Electronic House Arrest Deputies responded to Coleridge Rd., Siler City, in reference to a compliance check at the residence of Damian Von Shealy Mitchell. During the check, methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located. During the handcuffing process, Mitchell began resisting and assaulting deputies. He was subdued, secured in a patrol vehicle, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor resisting a public officer, and misdemeanor assault on a law enforcement officer. He was also served an order for arrest for felony failure to appear on a felony. He was held without bond, and a first appearance was set for October 3, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
Mitchel has been on EHA since May 14, 2025. This is his second EHA violation. At the time of this incident, he was on pre-trial release for felony possession of a fiream by a felon.
