On September 20, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Jordan Rd., Ramseur, in reference to an unconscious person. Upon arrival, deputies were able to wake the subject. Randolph County EMS responded for evaluation. He was identified as Jason Randall Monnett.
During a subsequent search, an illegal substance and paraphernalia were located. Once Mr. Monnett was cleared by EMS, he was placed under arrest and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance, felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He received a $3,000 secured bond and his first appearance was set for September 22, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
