On August 20, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Fairview Farm Road, Asheboro, in reference to an agency assist in an attempt to locate Charles Nicholas Doss, who was wanted out of Virginia by the Martinsville Police Department.
Doss was located, arrested, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where he was brought before the magistrate, and charged as a fugitive from justice. He was held without bond pending an extradition hearing. An extradition hearing is scheduled for August 22, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
