On August 1, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Cherokee Trl, Pleasant Garden, in reference to a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, Garland John Medley, Jr., turned himself in, reporting he was on probation and had violated the same by discharging a firearm.
Medley was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony discharging a weapon into occupied property and misdemeanor injury to personal property and set no bond because Medley was out on bond. A first appearance was scheduled for August 4, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
