In July 2025, members of the Invictus Task Force initiated an investigation related to a Cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. During the course of the investigation, Robert Lewis Rhodes was identified as a suspect.
On July 18, 2025, a search warrant was executed by members of the Invictus Task Force, and as a result, Robert Lewis Rhodes was taken into custody and charged with four (4) counts of Second-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. Rhodes was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate issued a $20,000 secured bond and set a first appearance in Randolph County District Court for July 21, 2025. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Invictus Task Force representatives.
