On June 4, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office became aware that Dakota Mastin Aldridge communicated a threat through social media referencing an educational facility. Following the investigation, charges were sought against him for felony communicating a threat of violence to an educational property. The magistrate found probable cause and issued a warrant for arrest.
Aldridge was subsequently located, arrested, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where he was served the warrant. He was issued no bond. A first appearance was set for June 6, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
