In May of 2025, members of the Invictus Task Force initiated an investigation related to a Cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. During the course of the investigation, Douglas Arthur Daugherty II was identified as a suspect.
On May 30, 2025, a search warrant was executed by members of the Invictus Task Force and as a result, Douglas Arthur Daugherty II, was taken into custody and charged with five (5) counts of Second-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. Daugherty II was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate issued a $350,000 secure bond and set a first appearance in Randolph County District Court for June 2, 2025. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, Invictus Task Force representatives.
