On May 5, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to NC Hwy 47, Denton, in reference to a welfare check. Upon arrival, the deputy observed a victim with signs of an assault. EMS responded to evaluate the victim.
Following an investigation, Jeremy Joe Bray was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for (M) Assault on a Female and (M) Assault on an Individual with a Disability. After further investigation, he was also charged with (F) Domestic Abuse/Neglect of a Disabled Person Resulting in an Injury. Bray was given a $25,000 total secured bond, and a first appearance was set for May 5, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
