On April 8, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Earnhardt Rd., Asheboro, in reference to an assault in progress. Upon arrival and investigation, it was determined that no assault had taken place; just a verbal argument had occurred.
During the investigation, a firearm was located and an investigation was conducted. After consultation with the District Attorney’s Office, charges were sought against Kenneth Carson Engish for felony possession of a firearm by a felon and the magistrate issued a warrant for arrest.
On April 17, 2025, the Criminal Apprehension Team located and apprehended Kenneth Carson English, Jr. at his residence without incident. He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where he was served his warrant and was issued a $10,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for April 21, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
