On April 13, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Bridlewood Dr., Trinity, in reference to abnormal behavior. Upon arrival, deputies located Robert Edward Layne, and Randolph County EMS responded for an evaluation.
During a subsequent search, methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located. Following evaluation, Layne was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a $1,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for April 14, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
