On January 2, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Grantville Ln., Asheboro, in reference to a larceny. Upon arrival, the victim advised items had been stolen from the property and had discovered they had been pawned.
Following the investigation, charges were sought on Joshua Clay Bunch for felony breaking and/or entering, felony larceny after break/enter, and felony obtaining property by false pretense. The magistrate found probable cause and issued a warrant for arrest.
On March 27, 2025, Bunch was located in Burke County, arrested, and transported to the Burke County Detention Center where he was served the warrant and was issued a $10,000 secured bond. A court date was set for April 7, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
