On March 28, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Vice Narcotics Unit concluded an investigation relating to the distribution of narcotics in Randolph County. Detectives, along with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Team Urban Unit and the Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant on Whites Chapel Rd. in Staley. During the search, Detectives located a trafficking amount of fentanyl, a trafficking amount of methamphetamine, cocaine, suboxone, and several other prescription medications. Also located and seized were items of drug paraphernalia and US Currency. As a result, three individuals were arrested and transported to Randolph County Detention Center.
Joshua Russell Barham was charged with felony trafficking in heroin, felony trafficking in methamphetamine, felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver methamphetamine, felony possession of cocaine, two counts of felony maintain vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance, felony possession schedule II, misdemeanor simple possession of schedule II controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. During the booking process, methamphetamine was located. An additional warrant was taken out and served for felony possession of methamphetamine and felony possession of a controlled substance on jail premises. Barham was also served with seven unserved orders for arrest. He was given a $41,000 total secured bond for all charges and received no bond for the additional warrant. He was given a court date of March 31, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
Natasha Lynn Lowery was charged with felony possess methamphetamine and misdemeanor possess drug paraphernalia. She was given a $10,000 secured bond with a court date scheduled for March 31, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
Nicholas Austin Bailey was served with an order for arrest for a misdemeanor probation violation out of Alamance County. He was issued a $2,000 secured bond with a court date scheduled for April 4, 2025, in Alamance County.
