On February 25, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on I-85 near exit 111, Archdale. The driver was issued a citation for the driving offense.
During a consensual search, methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located in the area where the passenger Dylan Kyle McDowell had been sitting. He was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. McDowell was issued a $5,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for February 26, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
