On February 4, 2025, while conducting an investigation, Detectives from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Team Urban Unit went to a residence on Forest Brook Circle in Asheboro to obtain information regarding a vehicle that was stolen out of Statesville, NC. Upon their arrival, they identified a vehicle at the location that matched the description of the stolen one.
After further investigation, Detectives determined that this was in fact the vehicle that had been reported stolen. Charges were sought against Jessica Lynn Hicks for felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle. The magistrate found probable cause and issued a warrant for arrest.
On February 6, 2025, Hicks was apprehended and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where she was served with her warrant for arrest. She was issued no bond and a first appearance was set for February 7, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
