On December 11, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Jordan Rd., Ramseur, regarding an armed subject. Upon arrival, information gathered from both parties was that a verbal argument had ensued that turned physical, and at some point in time, Shelton Brady had collected a firearm and began shooting inside the residence.
EMS responded and transported Brady for evaluation.
Following the investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division, Sherrita Monique Bautista was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony assault inflicting serious injury. She was issued No Bond and a first appearance was set for December 12, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
Charges were sought on Brady for felony possession of a firearm by a felon and the magistrate found probable cause to issue a warrant for arrest.
On December 22, 2024, Brady was located, arrested, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served his warrant. The magistrate issued a no bond and a first appearance was set for December 23, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
