On December 12, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Harlow Rd., Archdale, in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, the deputy approached the vehicle, which Communications advised had been reported stolen by Brandon Tyler Perdue in Lexington, NC. The driver was identified as Perdue, who had several warrants; one being for the theft of the vehicle. He was taken into custody. During a subsequent search, methamphetamine was located. Perdue was transported to Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a $12,000 secured bond.
He was also served his three outstanding processes out of Davidson County for felony possession of stolen motor vehicle and felony altering serial numbers, and two orders for arrest out of Davidson County for Probation Violations. He was issued no bond on these due to being out on pre-trial release.
A first appearance was set for December 13, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
