On November 10, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Olivers Chapel Rd., Staley, in reference to a burglary in progress. While en route, Communications gathered information from the caller that a male suspect had entered the home and left on foot heading south on Olivers Chapel Rd. when the residents told him to leave. Deputies were able to locate the male suspect, who was identified as Coy Dean Parker, on Olivers Chapel Rd. and detained him during the investigation.
Following the investigation, Parker was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony first-degree burglary and given no bond due to currently being out on pending charges. A first appearance was set for November 12, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
