On October 17, 2024, the Randolph County Detention Center staff located a Schedule II substance in the possession of Christopher Glenn Strickland during the booking process.
Following the investigation by the Detention Center Detective, charges were sought against Strickland for felony possession of Schedule II controlled substance, felony possession of controlled substance in jail premises, felony possession with intent to sell/deliver Schedule II controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. The magistrate found probable cause and issued the warrant.
On October 18, 2024, Strickland, currently confined at the Detention Center on unrelated charges, was served with his warrant and the magistrate denied bond. A first appearance was set for October 21, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
