On September 27, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Trinity Rd., Trinity, in reference to a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, a vehicle was located behind the residence, the basement door was open, and an interior door had been pried open. Deputies cleared the residence and did not locate anyone.
The victim arrived and was able to identify some missing items that had been located in the vehicle during a subsequent search.
During this time, Randolph Communications advised that an Archdale Police Officer was out with a subject that may be related to this incident. They had received a call about a male, later identified as Jonathan Daniel Ore, running through yards. He was transported to the Trinity Rd. investigation.
During the investigation. deputies located a sandal beside the vehicle and a short distance away, the matching one. Upon exchange of custody, Ore was barefoot.
He was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering, and felony possession of stolen goods. Ore was held without bond due to being out on Pre-Trial Release for Breaking and Entering charges out of Guilford County. A first appearance was set for September 30, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
