On September 4, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to 5094 Jordan Valley Rd., Trinity, in reference to a larceny that had already occurred. Upon arrival, the victim advised someone had entered his residence while he was gone for approximately fifteen minutes. He located a cell phone on the corner of the kitchen counter that did not belong to him and realized items had been removed from the bedroom.
Through the deputy's investigation, he identified the cell phone's owner as Kristen Amber Lester and determined she lived next door. The deputy proceeded to the residence in an attempt to locate Lester, but she had left earlier.
While continuing the investigation, another person who lived at the same address as Lester approached the deputy carrying a bag, which they stated that Lester had been seen with earlier. Upon emptying the bag, the reported missing items were located.
Charges were sought on Lester for felony breaking and or entering, felony larceny after break/enter, and felony possession of stolen goods/property, and the magistrate found probable cause and issued a criminal summons.
On September 7, 2024, Lester was located and served her criminal summons to appear on October 10, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
