On September 5, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Wayne White Rd., Pleasant Garden, in reference to a larceny of a trailer from a job site. Further information was collected, and an investigation began.
A possible suspect was identified following an investigation by the Criminal Interdiction Team Urban Unit. The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office was contacted to assist, due to the possible location of the trailer being in their jurisdiction. The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office and the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Team Urban Unit worked jointly, and the trailer was located on Vickrey Chapel Rd. N., in Jamestown. The suspect, Dylan Wayne Brown, was subsequently placed under arrest.
The Randolph County Criminal Interdiction Team Urban Unit Detectives took custody of Brown and transported him to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of stolen goods/property, felony larceny, felony alter/remove motor vehicle serial number, and misdemeanor injury to personal property. The magistrate issued a $500 unsecured bond and a first appearance was set for September 6, 2024, in Randolph County District Court. He was also served an outstanding process out of Guilford County and issued a $1,000 secured bond. His court date was set for September 16, 2024, in Guilford County.
