On May 29, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Mamie Mae Rd., Franklinville, in reference to a reported larceny complaint that had already occurred. During the investigation, the caller and victim reported that money had been stolen and provided evidence from the bank.
Following the investigation, charges were sought for Felony Identity Theft and Misdemeanor Financial Card Fraud against Britney Delana Michael and the magistrate found probable cause to issue a warrant for arrest.
On August 29, 2024, the Criminal Apprehension Team was requested to assist NC Probation and Parole in serving multiple outstanding Orders for Arrest and the felony warrant on Michael on Foxfire Rd in Asheboro. She initially refused to respond or comply with commands given, but was apprehended and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where she was served the warrant. She was also served an order for arrest for failure to appear on charges of driving while license revoked and fail to maintain lane control. She was issued a $30,000 total secured bond and a first appearance was set for August 30, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
Michael was also wanted out of Guilford County on two outstanding orders for arrest for failure to appear on misdemeanor larceny and communicating threats via free text. She was served those and issued an additional $7,500 secured bond and a first appearance was set for September 11, 2024, in Guilford County District Court.
