On August 19, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to NC Hwy 62, Trinity, in reference to the possible location of a stolen trailer. Upon arrival and further investigation, deputies located the trailer that had been reported stolen to the Guilford County Sheriff's Office.
Following the investigation, Buren Scott Andrews was arrested, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of stolen goods. Andrews received a written promise to appear in Randolph County District Court on September 16, 2024.
