On July 27, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Team – Urban Unit conducted a traffic stop on US Hwy 64 E. at Loflin Pond Rd. on a vehicle occupied by numerous individuals. During the traffic stop, a subsequent search was conducted, and detectives located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
The driver of the vehicle, Martina Marie Osborne, was found to have methamphetamine and paraphernalia in her possession. She was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for charges of felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver methamphetamine, felony maintain a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. She was issued a $15,000 secured bond and her first appearance was set for July 29, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
Daren Ray Biddix was also found to have methamphetamine and paraphernalia in his possession. He was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for charges of felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a $10,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for July 29, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
Hunter Nichole Newnam had an outstanding warrant for arrest out of Randolph County for felony breaking/entering motor vehicle and felony larceny. She was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where she was served her warrant and issued no bond and a first appearance was set for July 29, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
Somphane Noi Xayachak, a registered sex offender, was located during this traffic stop. Xayachak had failed to report a change of address to the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office as required by law and had a warrant for his arrest and was placed in custody. During search to arrest, methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located. He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for charges of felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a $10,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for July 29, 2024, in Randolph County District Court. He was also served his outstanding warrant out of Guilford County and received a $5,000 secured bond and an August 6, 2024, court date in Guilford County District Court.
