On July 2, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on NC Hwy 62, Trinity. Upon approach, the odor of marijuana was emitting from within the vehicle. The driver was identified as Terry Wayne Osborne. During a subsequent search, illegal substances and paraphernalia were located. Osborne was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for charges of felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and misdemeanor simple possession schedule VI controlled substance and denied bond due to Osborne being out on pretrial release. A court date was set for July 8, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
