On July 1, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff's Office responded to Old Cox Rd., Asheboro, in reference to an agency assist with NC Probation and Parole. During a home visit and inspection of Katie Jo Moser, probation officers had located illegal substances. The deputy placed her under arrest and transported her to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of Schedule II controlled substance and felony possession of Schedule III controlled substance. She was issued a $5,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for July 5, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
