On June 28, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to an area hospital concerning a reported assault that had already occurred while an additional deputy went to the location of the assault on Mt. View Church Rd., Asheboro.
Following the investigation, charges were sought against Travis Cleve Pierce for felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
On June 30, 2024, deputies located Pierce on Caraway Mtn. Rd., Asheboro. He was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served his warrant and the magistrate issued no bond and set a first appearance for July 1, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
