On June 12, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Erect Rd., Seagrove, in regards to an assault. Upon arrival, the deputy came in contact with the victim who had visible injuries.
Following the investigation, Lucas Allyn Woody, who was still on scene, was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony second-degree kidnapping and misdemeanor assault on a female. He was denied bond and a first appearance was set for June 13, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
