On March 26, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Lancer Dr., Archdale, in reference to a burglary that had already occurred. Upon arrival, the victims reported returning to the residence and discovering the residence had been broken into and items missing. The victim was able to track the stolen computer to an address in Winston Salem in which they were familiar with the person at the address. Winston Salem Police went to the residence but were unable to get anyone to come to the door. Following the investigation, charges were sought against Veronica Kyrene Morrison for felony breaking and/or entering, two counts of felony larceny after break/enter, and felony possession of stolen goods/property, and the magistrate found probable cause to issue a warrant.
On April 22, 2024, Morrison was located in Forsyth County. She was arrested and transported to the Forsyth County Detention Center where she was served the warrant. Bond was denied. A first appearance was set for April 29, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
