On April 3, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Hughes Grove Rd., Thomasville, in reference to a request for an agency assist with NC Probation and Parole. Upon arrival, officers advised deputies that they had located firearms in the residence during their home search. Jeffrey Lee Gordon is on probation for a felony and subject to searches. Gordon was placed under arrest and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of a firearm by a felon. He was issued a $25,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for April 5, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
