On January 25, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff's Office Criminal Interdiction Team Urban Unit received information regarding the location of a possible stolen vehicle. An investigation was conducted, and the vehicle was located in the area of Gold Hill Rd. in Asheboro. Detectives received confirmation that the vehicle was stolen out of Guilford County.
After further investigation, information was received of the whereabouts of the person last seen in possession of the vehicle. As a result, an investigative traffic stop was conducted on Temorris Mandrette Davis and Davis turned over the keys to the stolen vehicle. The magistrate found probable cause to issue a warrant on Davis for Felony Possession of Stolen Motor Vehicle. On February 9, 2024, Davis was located, arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served the warrant. The magistrate issued a written promise to appear and a first appearance was set for March 4, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
