On January 24, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Moffitt Rd., Asheboro, in reference to a larceny/theft of landscaping tools. During the investigation, the item was located at an area pawn shop and had been pawned by Tavon Ontrell Small.
Following the investigation, Small was located, arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony breaking and /or entering, felony obtain property by false pretense, felony larceny after break/enter and misdemeanor possession of stolen goods/property. He was given a written promise to appear in Randolph County District Court on January 25, 2024.
