On January 18, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Plum Tree Rd., Asheboro, in reference to a domestic violence protective order violation. Upon arrival, victims reported that Lacy Allen Wyatt, who was not to be on the property or have contact with the homeowner/victim, had arrived unannounced, opened the door of the residence, and started to verbally assault the plaintiff on the 50B order and others at the residence. Soon after, a physical altercation occurred causing minor injuries to those involved and he then left the property on foot. Deputies located him a short distance away in a grass field. He was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center following the investigation. The magistrate found probable cause for felony break/enter to terrorize/injure, misdemeanor simple assault, and misdemeanor domestic violence protective order violation. He was not issued a bond due to the charges being domestic in nature. A first appearance was set for January 19, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
