On January 5, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Silkwood Drive, Ramseur, in reference to a vandalism in progress. Upon arrival, the victim reported that Connseula Reyes Bautista was vandalizing the property, did not live at this residence, and had been asked to leave.
Deputies told Bautista to leave, she refused and was placed under arrest for trespassing. While removing Bautista from the scene she spit in the caller’s face.
She was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center and a secondary search was conducted in which marijuana was located.
The magistrate found probable cause for felony first-degree trespassing/squatting, misdemeanor simple assault, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana up to a 1/2 oz. No bond was issued due to Bautista having pending charges in court. A first appearance was set for January 8, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
